We’re back in action!
Dear friends of Schellackplatte,
It’s been quiet here—longer than we would have liked. Anyone who tried to stop by in recent months often found the door closed, and we’d like to apologize for that.
Behind the scenes, we had to deal with a few problems: Our previous hosting provider kept causing us trouble, bot attacks kept bringing the site to a standstill, and on top of that, there were a few other issues that couldn’t be resolved overnight.
Instead of just patching things up, we took the time to give the site a thorough cleaning—just like you’d carefully clean a good old 78 before playing it.
The results are impressive—both to see and to hear. Under the hood, we’ve implemented new technology that’s faster, more stable, and more secure. We’ve also refreshed the design to make it even easier for you to browse our selection. A new hosting provider ensures that we’ll be reliably available to you in the future.
And since we weren’t idle during the break, there are plenty of new records waiting to be discovered: dance bands, pop hits, jazz, classical music, and quite a few rarities that haven’t felt a needle in a long time.
